Why it is important to train in harmony with your cycle (infradian rhythm)

Many women are unaware of their infradian rhythm, this is kin to your circadian rhythm. Your circadian rhythm is your 24-hour biological clock, and your female hormonal infradian rhythm is your (roughly) 28-day hormonal cycle that is unique to your female body. Training against your infradian rhythm can have health consequences, making it harder to lose weight, maintain fertility, feel energized, and will affect your mood. The truth is that most dietary studies are run on men and/or post-menopausal women, and most dietary advice derived from those studies applies very well to a steady hormone scape, one that runs on a 24-hour clock, ideally suited for men and not so well for women. Many women are working against their biology and driving themselves nuts while they do it.
